2011 NFL Draft: Philadelphia Eagles Prospect, Virginia Tech QB Tyrod Taylor

It seems pretty apparent that the Eagles are interested in taking a quarterback in this year's draft. Could they be interested in someone who fits the dual-threat mold that Donovan McNabb and Michael Vick posses? 

It seems possible as they've hosted Virginia Tech quarterback Tyrod Taylor for a private workout.

At 6’1” and 217 pounds, Taylor has very similar size to Vick (6’0” 215 pounds). He's not as fast as Vick, but he turned in the fastest time of any quarterback at this year's NFL Combine with a 4.51 40-yard dash.

However, the biggest question surrounding Taylor's potential as an NFL quarterback isn't his speed. It's his accuracy throwing the ball that will be the big question.

Some have wondered about him making a transition to a wide receiver or a wildcat-type player because of his athleticism, but Taylor wants to be a quarterback in the NFL.
