2011 NFL Mock Draft Indianapolis Colts Look to USC Trojan for Protection
If the Indianapolis Colts hope to make another Super Bowl push and not find themselves towards the bottom of the AFC South, they must find a way to bolster the offensive line to protect the franchise that is quarterback Peyton Manning.
The Colts have a history of not drafting an offensive lineman in the first round and it is time they break this streak as the 2011 class is loaded with top-tier offensive lineman.
Although the Colts could wait until the second round to draft an offensive tackle, they will not find one with the supreme athleticism of USC Trojan Tyron Smith.
“As you would imagine, Smith is a very athletic offensive lineman who has excellent balance and very quick choppy feet. He shuffles well and stays in front of the defender to stop the initial forward progress in pass protection,” according to Fox Sports’ Brian Billick.
