Cam Newton Gave Ball Julius Peppers Threw to Young Fan Who Recently Lost Father

It was the Cam Newton touchdown ball that almost didn't make it to the stands, thanks to Green Bay Packers linebacker Julius Peppers, who held and threw it away from the Carolina Panthers quarterback.
But Newton tracked it down. And the kid he gave it to? Six-year-old Colin Toler, who unexpectedly lost his father on Sept. 30 before the two made it to a Panthers game as promised, per WSET.
Weeks later, Toler would still make it to a game, accompanied by both of his grandfathers with tickets given by family friends.
