Could Braylon Edwards Return to the New York Jets This Season?

The Jets traded for Braylon Edwards back in October of 2009. Edwards gave the Jets a much needed receiving threat and a hard worker. Edwards fit in perfectly with the Jets and went on to enjoy some of his best days as an NFL wide receiver with "Gang Green."
However, he was eventually on his way out of New York. The Jets made the decision to pass on Edwards last year for Plaxico Burress. Fresh out of jail, Burress was on a mission to make the Jets look smart for letting Edwards go.
Burress put up very nice numbers, while Edwards suffered through a very disappointing season with the 49ers. It seemed as if the Jets made the right move, but the truth doesn't always lie behind the stats.
Despite Burress' stats, he just wasn't a good fit with New York as Mark Sanchez never managed to build up a good rapport with his new receiver.
Burress is a free agent at the moment and won't be returning to the Jets.
