Felix Jones was much talked about in the preseason as possibly being ready for a breakout season, but in the end, he continued to have injury problems. Then rookie DeMarco Murray emerged and took over the starting role. While Murray finished his season early with an injury in his own right, he clearly showed that he can be a play maker in this offense, and as long as the Cowboys offensive line can give him space, he will continue to be a rising star at his position.
With Murray, the Cowboys have a more balanced offense, and this should be a key to their success if they happen to make the playoffs this year. Tony Romo is a solid quarterback, but I would like to see Dez Bryant take another step in his development with Laurent Robinson gone to the Jaguars, this offseason.
Bryant clearly has the skill set to be a top-five receiver in the league, but in order for that to happen, he needs to improve his route running. Romo is good at throwing to an open receiver, and if B...
