J.J. Watt Provides Perfect Explanation for Why Football Trumps Personal Life

July 8, 2014   ·     ·   Jump to comments

With the money some NFL players make, they can have extravagant lifestyles. They can buy virtually anything they want and party during the offseason.
However, that lifestyle isn't for everyone.
Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt got where he is today by putting in the work. The 2012 NFL Defensive Player of the Year knows that football isn't forever, so he is committed to work hard while he is playing.
That may mean that Watt doesn't get to have a personal life, so to speak, but the 25-year-old is able to say that he is one of the best at what he does. His view on hard work has gotten Watt to two straight Pro Bowls.
Watt's view on football is exactly what any NFL team should want from it's best player. Under Watt's leadership, Houston's young players should learn how to develop good work ethics.
