Jerry Rice Says He Supports Colin Kaepernick’s Protests After Initial Criticism

After initially questioning San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's decision to protest during the national anthem, legendary Niners wide receiver Jerry Rice displayed a change of heart on Tuesday.
As seen in the following tweet, the Hall of Fame wideout expressed support for the message Kaepernick is attempting to spread:
Rice's about-face came nearly a month after he took issue with Kaepernick's method:
Kaepernick began his protest during the season by sitting during the playing of "The Star-Spangled Banner," and he has since switched to taking a knee instead.
Many players have joined the veteran signal-caller by demonstrating during the anthem through sitting, kneeling or raising their fists, including the likes of Seattle Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane, Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall, Miami Dolphins running back Arian Foster and Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins.
