Johnny Manziel Tells TMZ His Friends, Family Are ‘With’ Him

Two days after TMZ Sports reported Johnny Manziel's friends had expressed concern over his well-being, the embattled quarterback told the website, "My friends and family are alright. They're with me."

On Tuesday, TMZ published a story citing a source "very close" to Manziel who said the 23-year-old is "in a horrible downward spiral." Another source told TMZ that if Manziel's hard-partying behavior doesn't show signs of stopping, "he will die."
The concerns expressed by sources in the TMZ story echoed those voiced by Manziel's father, Paul, in February.
"I truly believe if they can't get him help, he won't live to see his 24th birthday," Paul Manziel told the Dallas Morning News' Kate Hairopoulos after his son refused to be admitted to rehabilitation clinics on two occasions.
