Miami Dolphins Reportedly Sign CB Brent Grimes to 1-Year Deal

The Miami Dolphins continue to add pieces this offseason, as the AFC East club has reportedly signed free-agent cornerback Brent Grimes according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Pro Football Talk reports the deal is worth $5.5 million. 
Grimes missed the entire 2012 season for the Atlanta Falcons after suffering a torn Achilles tendon in the team's regular-season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Despite the uncertainly of how he'll respond after suffering such a significant injury, Grimes will be a welcome addition to a defense that ranked 27th in the NFL a season ago in passing yards allowed.
The Dolphins also ranked 27th in the league in interceptions in 2012, recording just 10 in 16 regular-season games.
