Miles Austin to Eagles: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction

The Philadelphia Eagles added a veteran to their rather youthful receiver corps on Tuesday, agreeing to terms with free agent Miles Austin.

The Eagles announced the move, confirming it's a one-year deal.    

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network had the details Monday, prior to the official signing that required Austin to pass a physical:

Austin had a resurgent season of sorts with the Cleveland Browns in 2014, catching 47 passes for 568 yards and two touchdowns over the span of 12 games.
Injuries have prevented Austin from performing to his potential in recent years—mostly nagging hamstring problems. It's therefore no surprise that he's landing in Philadelphia.

As he's proven by retaining DeMeco Ryans and trading for Kiko Alonso and Sam Bradford, Eagles coach and personnel chief Chip Kelly isn't shying away from injured players. The difference with Austin is that he might not have much left in the tank at this point.
