New York Giants: Could Big Blue Look to Switch Terrell Thomas to Safety in 2013?

Terrell Thomas' NFL career is at a bit of a crossroads right now.
After being regarded as possibly the New York Giants's best cover corner, injuries have derailed his career.
Thomas has had to have surgeries in consecutive years to repair a torn ACL—surgeries that have cost him both the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
The Giants signed Thomas to a four-year deal worth $28 million back in March 2012, but the team put in a clause in the contract that protected themselves in case of an injury like the one Thomas suffered.
Thomas is due about $6 million for a salary in 2013, and I'd say there's a very good chance that Giants GM Jerry Reese cuts Thomas before March.
The soon-to-be 28-year-old could be in line for a position change, according to Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.
