NFL Draft 2011 Scouting Report: Jeremy Beal to Denver Broncos

Jeremy Beal, standing at 6'3" and tipping the scales at 267 pounds, compiled the sack numbers at DE during his four year career to make NFL teams lick their chops.  Consistent throughout his matriculation at Oklahoma, he became the first player in Sooners history to record at least 7.5 sacks in three different seasons, and finished second on Oklahoma’s all-time career sack list with 29. 
Despite these impressive statistics, Beal’s stock dropped when he failed to impress scouts at the combine and then again at the Senior Bowl: “This Sooner superstar may have been exposed as a high-motor player with limited athleticism and upside” (NFLDraftScout.com).
His natural instincts may carry him far, but his limitations will likely force him to transition to linebacker, where he will have to start the learning process over again.  Teams won’t exactly be rushing to the podium to draft Beal, but his college numbers make him an enticing sleeper ...
