NFL Draft 2011 Could Be a Chance For the Titans to Surprise Teams and Make a Move
Rumors have been swirling out of Denver that the Broncos could be looking to move out of the No. 2 pick in order to load up on picks later in the draft and one of the teams that has been mentioned as a candidate to possibly move up is the Tennessee Titans.
The justification for them being included is the fact that they need a quarterback.
However, according to John Gelnnon from the Tennessean, that doesn’t fit with what the Titans need.
“Personally, I think the Titans are more likely to trade down in the first round than they are to move up. I could see them taking Auburn defensive tackle Nick Fairley at No. 8, if he’s still available. But if Fairley’s gone – and the next-best prospect is a defensive end – it could make sense for the Titans to slide down, perhaps surrendering the pick to a team dying to get its hands on Nebraska cornerback Prince Amukamara.”
