Source: Minnesota Vikings Prepared to Offer Michael Vick a Mega Deal

A source that usually provides very accurate and strong information has tweeted that he believes the Minnesota Vikings ownership is prepping to offer Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick a “huge offer.”

*NFL RUMORS* Minnesota Vikings are prepared to make Mike Vick a huge offer if he becomes a FA after the season is over. Owner’s #1 priority” – @IncarceratedBob

Incarcerated Bob, as he is so affectionally known, is a radio personality in New York for WFAN 660AM’s Boomer & Carton show. He has a knack of breaking some important news stories and he is someone I trust. I don’t know him personally but he is usually spot on with his rumors.

I certainly couldn’t see why the Vikings would not be interested in Vick so this doesn’t come as a surprise to me. Marred by the collapse and subsequent dismissal of Brad Childress, the Vikings need all the help they can get at the quarterback position. Brett Favre will most likely be retired for good after this season.

There were rumors circulating that the Eagles were going to place the franchise tag on Vick at the end of the season. If that happens, the Vikes obviously wouldn’t be able to touch Starship-7.
