Veteran wide receiver Wes Welker turned 35 years old on May 1 and is currently without an NFL team. While he could try to catch on with one for the 2016 season, retirement is also an option.

I’m trying to figure that out. I think I’m weighing my options and really trying to figure out where to go with life next. But there are some days I wake up, I’m like, ‘OK, I’m done.’ And other days I wake up and I go, ‘Maybe one more year.’ But I’m trying not to rush into any decision but at the same time know that I’m preparing myself for not playing.
