Brandon LaFell Injury: Updates on Patriots WR’s Foot and Return

New England Patriots wide receiver Brandon LaFell will start the season on the physically unable to perform list with a foot injury.

LaFell out Until Week 7 After Being Placed on PUP List Saturday, Sept. 5 Field Yates of ESPN first reported LaFell's status, with the team confirming the designation later in the day. 
LaFell emerged as a reliable secondary option in the Patriots' passing game last season, his first in New England. He's given the team some much-needed depth to take pressure off the likes of Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski.
The foot injury currently limiting LaFell originally popped up during the Pats' playoff run that ended with another championship. The issue caused him to miss almost all of the team's offseason program.
With LaFell on the shelf and the team releasing Reggie Wayne on Saturday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Danny Amendola and Aaron Dobson could receive some extra looks, along with workhorse tight end...
