If Washington doesn't want its defensive secrets getting out after 53-man roster cuts, it might need to do a better job of check and balances than it did after 75-man cuts.
A listener identified as "Josh" called in to the radio program The Sports Junkies on 106.7 The Fan, discussing reportedly finding linebacker Ejiro Ederaine's defensive workbooks in the trash:
Ederaine, an undrafted free agent out of Fresno State, was part of the team's first round of cuts after the third preseason game. Standard protocol typically sees released players hand in all team-related materials upon their release so they cannot take them to another franchise, sell them or otherwise share sensitive information.
