Mike Evans Injury: Updates on Buccaneers WR’s Hamstring and Return

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is dealing with a hamstring injury in the aftermath of his team's 25-11 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 of the preseason that is believed to be minor, according to Pat Yasinskas of ESPN.com.

Evans Exits in 2nd Quarter vs. Bengals Tuesday, Aug. 25 After the win, Bucs coach Lovie Smith commented on the severity of Evans' injury, per Yasinskas: "I talked to him and he didn’t feel like it was that serious. We wanted to get our (starters) into the second quarter and then get them out."
Evans received two targets but did not record a catch before leaving. 
The Bucs made Evans the No. 7 overall selection in the 2014 draft due largely to his 6'5", 231-pound frame and rare leaping ability. He didn't disappoint during his debut campaign, as he made 68 catches for 1,051 yards and 12 touchdowns despite Tampa's revolving door at quarterback.
