2010 NFL Draft: Top Guards

With the 2010 NFL Draft just one week away, I will be highlighting the top players at each position in this year's class.

These are my guard prospects available in the 2010 NFL Draft.


1. Mike Iupati, Idaho

A three-year starter for the Vandals, Iupati was a two-time All-WAC selection from 2008 to 2009 and a was first-team All-American as a senior.

By far the draft's best guard prospect, Iupati has all the tools you look for in a mauling interior lineman. A guy that could also feasibly play right tackle in the pros, Iupati should go in the middle or late first round, possibly to San Francisco (No. 17) or Pittsburgh (No. 18).

2. Rodger Saffold, Indiana

A four-year starter in the Big Ten for the Hoosiers, Saffold was named a second-team all-conference selection as a senior in 2009.
