2011 NFL Draft: Houston gets secondary help that it desperately needs:
Here's the scouting report on Prince Amukamara: physical, fundamentally sound corner that works as hard as anyone else on the field and in the gym. He shuts down one side of the field and tackles very well.
Here's the scouting report on Houston's secondary in 2010: burnt.
The Texans played the pass about as well as orange field cones last season, finishing last in the league in pass defense. And while Matt Schaub and Arian Foster did their best to play keep-up for the Texans, the secondary has to get better.
Bringing in Wade Phillips as defensive coordinator is a great start to remedying the situation. The fact is Houston has good young talent in the secondary in Karim Jackson and Glover Quin with Brice McCain waiting in the wings.
You can't have enough corners in this league, especially ones with the skill set of Amukamara, so the Cowboys should draft him anyway.
