2013 NFL Draft: Will Lane Johnson Be the Next Joe Staley?

The NFL Draft Class of 2013 could be the "Year of the Offensive Tackle." While most eyes are on Luke Joeckel and Eric Fisher, it's Oklahoma's Lane Johnson that has turned heads.
After a dominating Senior Bowl, Johnson blew every tackle away at the NFL Scouting Combine with a 4.72 in the 40-yard dash and 34-inch vertical leap.
"His 40-yard dash time was faster than Anquan Boldin," NFL Network's Mike Mayock said of Johnson. "His vertical of 34 inches was the same as A.J. Green."
Johnson played quarterback in high school and was a tight end his freshman year at Oklahoma. Like the guy he studies in the NFL, Joe Staley was also a tight end his freshman year.
The 6'6", 303-pound Johnson has gotten better each of the past three years at tackle.
