Tell him he's too small , and watch him tackle a tight end who outweighs him by 70 pounds. Tell him he's too slow and watch him run down a former track star running back, Tell him no walk ons from Syracuse make it in the NFL and watch him become a starter. These aren't hypothetical situations. He's done it.
The Chargers secondary was loaded with big names, first rounders from big schools, and former pro bowlers since Gregory has walked an undrafted free agent in 2006.
One by one, players left, players moved and Gregory kept proving everybody wrong.
In September, barring a shocking trade, or injury, it looks like Gregory will finally get his shot as a starter for the San Diego Chargers, and in the process get to tell all the Nay-sayers, " I told you so"!
