Andre “Dre” Bly Is Back With The Detroit Lions

July 2, 2010   ·     ·   Jump to comments

Well, this just hit the wires a few minutes ago.
Dre Bly has been signed to a two year deal back in Detroit!
He's getting a bit older, but we all know Bly was a solid corner when he played for the Lions.
He was traded to Denver for Tatum Bell and George (false start) Foster during the Millen era.
Boy was that a trade gone bad? Couldn't they have thought of someone better than Bly to get those two mediocre players?
Well of course it was the Matt Millen era, and brainless roster moves were the norm back then.
He had 19 interceptions in Detroit from 2003-2006 before he was traded. Lets all hope he can still be a productive part of the Lions' secondary who desperately need someone that can help force turn overs.
If you're reading Dre, WELCOME BACK TO DETROIT!
