Denver Broncos general manager John Elway has denied reports he made cornerback Aqib Talib available via trade.

Broncos Deny Talib Is Available Sunday, Sept. 4 "False," Elway said, per ESPN.com. "[Talib's] name was never brought up anywhere."
ESPN's Dianna Russini reported Saturday that the Broncos were looking to trade their Pro Bowl cornerback.
Talib, 30, has made the Pro Bowl each of the last three seasons. In 2015, he had 45 tackles and three interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns. Pro Football Focus ranked him 30th among qualifying cornerbacks.
Despite his strong on-field resume, Talib has a history of off-field incidents that might explain Denver's willingness to trade him. He was shot in the leg outside of a Dallas strip club in June, though the injury was minor.
