Are the Redskins Trying To Coax the Rams into Drafting a Defensive Tackle?

Recent news out of Washington is that there is some interest in a trade for St. Louis Rams' defensive tackle Adam Carriker.  With the Redskins' pending switch to the 3-4 defense, and with the release of defensive tackle Cornelius Griffin the offseason, a move for depth on the defensive line makes sense.
But is that the whole story? Rumors since the day Shanahan landed in Washington have been that there is interest in drafting Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford with the fourth overall pick.  That may be a problem should the Rams decide to take him first.
Carriker was a first round pick in 2007.  He missed the 2009 season with a shoulder injury, but he will be valuable for the Rams in 2010, especially considering he started 16 games in his rookie season. 
If the Redskins complete a trade for Carriker, the Rams will lose depth on defensive line that has little talent other than former first overall pick Chris Long.
