Braylon Edwards of the New York Jets Should Have Just Dropped the Keys

From his days in Cleveland, Braylon Edwards was known for his drops more than his catches.
He should have reverted back to his old ways and simply dropped the keys early Tuesday morning before he was pulled over for overly tinted windows, resulting somehow in a Breathalyzer test and Edwards blowing a reported blood alcohol content of .16, twice the legal limit.
Edwards was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Reports say that teammates Vernon Gholston and D’Brickashaw Ferguson were in the car with Edwards during the time of the arrest but have not been charged in the case.
There are plenty of ways to get home, especially for a professional athlete. The Jets have a Player Protect program in place that provides players with a means of getting home in instances such as this one. There is also the old-fashioned New York City taxi service, or even letting one of the two presumably sober teammates drive the car.
