Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings: Can We Skip This Chapter?

So, I opened up the sports page today. Brett Favre failed a concussion test. Leslie Frazier wants him to pass by gametime and possibly start him against The Detroit Lions.
The question I keep asking is WHY?
Why would Brett Favre still want to play this week?
Why would Leslie Frazier want Brett Favre to play this week?
Why would Frazier not name Joe Webb the starter after he led the team to victory against the Philadelphia Eagles?
Hopefully, this will be a lesson for other head coaches. Even though it may seem like it at the time, it's never a good idea to coddle a player to the point that they are bigger than the team. Brad Childress, in his desperation to win the Super Bowl, made every concession for Brett Favre so he would play for the Vikings.
Training camp?  Don't worry about it. Conditioning? I'm sure throwing passes to high school kids is all Favre needs.
