Brett Favre Helped Convince Greg Jennings to Sign with Minnesota Vikings

Green Bay Packers team president Mark Murphy envisions a future with Brett Favre being a long-term member of the Packers family, but reconciling their relationship in the short term just got a lot more difficult.
Wide receiver Greg Jennings, who just left the Packers for the Vikings this offseason, reportedly sought counsel from Favre prior to inking his deal. According to a report from John Holler of Scout.com, Favre spoke with Jennings multiple times and told him everything he wanted to know about the organization:
Literally, as I got off the plane and (offensive coordinator Bill) Musgrave walked up to me, I’m on the phone with Brett, Jennings said. I spoke with Brett two or three times throughout this process. He shot me straight. I knew if there was one person that would shoot straight and tell me exactly what I wanted to hear and things I possibly didn't want to hear, it would be Brett. He did that for me.
