Brett Favre: Would It Hurt or Help His Legacy If He Walked Away Today?

Things are not going well in Minnesota, as the Vikings continued to slide after being trampled by the Green Bay Packers on Sunday 31-3.
If you are reading this column you've probably already read a hundred others about Brett Favre already.  For a guy I used to play against in Madden '94 on my Super Nintendo, he is sure getting a lot of headlines in 2010.
First it was his announced retirement, then his comeback announcement.  Since then it's been about alleged photos to a sideline reporter, his mostly lacking play this year, his suffering of more injuries than a bus crash and his determination to tell me that nothing beats Wrangler comfort.
After this latest loss to his former team, Favre stated that he needed to "re-evaluate" his career from here.  Coming from Favre this could mean anything, but speculation today has many thinking that Brett might be considering walking away before the end of the season.
