Doug Flutie had a bumpy road in his sports career, but there is no one that
jump-started the Buffalo Bills like Doug Flutie did.
Flutie sparked the Bills' 1998 season and earned himself a spot in the Pro Bowl. Not only did Flutie start "Flutiemania" in Buffalo—and around the world—he was also named the AP Comeback Player of the Year in 1998.
Doug Flutie was the man Buffalo needed but he never got his chance. Throughout his pro career, Doug was never given the chance to shine. This problem continued in Buffalo, as Flutie and (QB) Rob Johnson would constantly fight for the starting spot.
Doug Flutie was a magician out on the field and no one knew it like the Buffalo Bills fans did; they enjoyed every single minute of it.
