Buffalo Bills Showing Signs of Improvement

After the thorough drubbing of the Buffalo Bills by the hands of the Washington Redskins in the first game of the preseason, the reaction by both Bills and non-Bills fans was outlandish. I saw plenty of people saying that this was a Bills team guaranteed to get the first overall pick in next year’s draft and that general manager Buddy Nix should have drafted a quarterback or left tackle rather than running back CJ Spiller.
Fast forward to this week, and all that sentiment is gone. It’s amazing how much can change in one week, isn’t it? Going from enduring an embarrassing thrashing one week to coming out top (even in the first half!) against the Indianapolis Colts sure makes a difference in the fan base.
Now, no one is saying that this is a Super Bowl- (or even playoff-) bound team at this point and meaning it seriously. At least no one sober. However, the improvements from the first game to the second game were definitely there.
