Carl Nassib Injury: Updates on Browns DE’s Recovery from Hand Surgery

Cleveland Browns defensive end Carl Nassib suffered a broken hand in Sunday's 25-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and will need surgery.

Browns Lose Nassib to Hand Injury Monday, Sept. 19  Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported the news, noting the team is still assessing how long Nassib will be out of the lineup. He left the game in the third quarter and did not return.
A third-round pick out of Penn State, Nassib was named a starter before the Week 2 contest. He recorded three tackles and one sack in Cleveland's opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Browns, already at a talent disadvantage, have been riddled with injuries on both sides of the ball. They lost quarterback Robert Griffin III to a shoulder injury in Week 1 and could lose his replacement Josh McCown, per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.
