Charlie Whitehurst Should Be Worrying About JP Losman, Not Matt Hasselbeck

Call it a motivational tactic, a way to not let him get complacent with his $4 million salary, a wake up call, or whatever you want.
Pete Carroll has already put his hand-picked quarterback of the future on notice, and we haven’t even reached training camp.
Although former Bills first rounder JP Losman is still learning the system, Carroll is already praising his newest reclamation project on his major league arm:
“He’s got a lot to learn, but he has a terrific arm—a major-league arm, he’s really hungry. He wants to jump right into this thing.”
The thought was that Carroll was bringing in Whitehurst to push Matt Hasselbeck for the starting job in 2010.
Maybe Carroll’s scare tactic worked on Hasselbeck, because he has been drawing very positive reviews from the media and coaching staff alike for how he is running things this off season. It’s safe to say he has clearly...
