Chiefs GM Scott Pioli Gets His Man, Charlie Weis Is Headed to Kansas City

The Kansas City Chiefs struggled offensively at times during the 2009 season, but now general manager Scott Pioli has found his savior on offense in new offensive coordinator Charlie Weis, according to profootballtalk.com.
Weis and Pioli are well acquainted with each other since both are a product of New England Patriots mastermind Bill Belichick.
The Chiefs ranked 23rd in scoring offense and 25th in overall offense in 2009, and Weis' offensive knowledge will hopefully increase the output of the offense in 2010 and beyond.
Weis is credited with being one of the best when it comes to developing quarterbacks and he has done so in the past with Tom Brady in the pros, and Brady Quinn and Jimmy Clausen at Notre Dame.
Now he has the test of furthering the progress of starter Matt Cassel, who at times struggled. Some of that was also due to his receivers leading the NFL in dropped passes.
