Chris Cooley Injury Update: Washington Redskins Tight End Should Play In Week 8

Chris Cooley suffered what turned out to be a minor concussion in the Redskins' loss to Indianapolis two weeks ago, but he also developed a foot injury that hampered him somewhat during Washington's road win against the Chicago Bears.

Cooley was added to coach Mike Shanahan's often misleading injury report as questionable with the foot issue this week, but he was a full participant in practice on Wednesday and is fully expected to start for Washington.

Tight ends have had tough going against the Detroit Lions defense, but Cooley is one of Washington's primary offensive targets. Donovan McNabb has shown a willingness to get Cooley the ball, and he should see a decent number of passes come his way against the Lions.
