Cincinnati Bengals Offseason: Why Not To Take Cam Newton in the 2011 NFL Draft

There has been a lot of discussion recently about whether Cincinnati should bring in Cam Newton or whether they should look at the QB's already tenured in the NFL. The general consensus from Bengals' fans and football fans alike, is that Cam Newton is not what the Bengals need but is probably what they will in fact end up with.
Cam Newton's pro's and con's have been over-analysed for weeks upon weeks now, and I have no intention of treading the same ground. Rather I would suggest that Bengals fans look at an alternative solution to their woes.
Cincinnati might be better off looking at signing a veteran QB to a one, maybe two year deal. Take for example Kerry Collins. I am by no means suggesting Kerry Collins is a solution to the Bengals problems, rather an EXAMPLE of a transitional temporary fix.
My reason for suggesting this is the Bengals would be better off looking for a QB in the 2012 NFL Draft. Mainly Andrew Luck or perhaps Terrelle Pryor.
