Cleveland Browns Rookies: Intelligence Was a High Priority

Back one year ago, the main theme of the Eric Mangini-driven draft of 2009, was to not only get players who were of high character, but to pick players who had high intelligence as well. Pretty much the majority of the 2009 NFL draft picks had top grades, including center Alex Mack, and receivers Brian Robiskie and Mohamed Massaquoi, to highlight a few. Now after the 2010 draft, the biggest buzz is how they may have reached for second-round safety T.J. Ward, and how the Browns were able to be patient and land quarterback Colt McCoy in the third round. There is a little secret though, and that is the Mangini influence of getting players with a high football intelligence was still present in this 2010 draft class too, and the following are just a few highlighted players.Begin Slideshow
