Cleveland Browns: Should the Browns Pursue Plaxico Burress?

When a conversation about the Cleveland Browns is focused on improvements, the need for a high-profile wide receiver will definitely enter into the discussion.

Many views and opinions are expressed regarding whether to draft or seek to fill the position via free agency, causing numerous players to be mentioned, both among those college and those already playing in the NFL.

One name seldom heard in any discussion about a wide receiver for the Browns is Plaxico Burress. Being in prison in upstate New York may have something to do with that. Burress suffered a gunshot wound, shooting himself in the thigh while at a nightclub in New York City—Police and Judges frown on such behavior.

Scheduled to be released from prison in June of 2011, Burress will be looking for a job, provided that his previous employer, the New York Giants do not pick him up.
