Cleveland Browns Sign First-Round Draft Pick Joe Haden

According to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, the Cleveland Browns and rookie first round pick Joe Haden have agreed to terms on a five-year deal worth upwards of $50 million, with $26 million guaranteed.
The signing ends any threat of a holdout by the rookie, and Haden may even report to training camp in time to suit up for Saturday evening's practice.
Joe Haden was the top cornerback taken in April's NFL draft at seventh overall. He has all the physical tools needed to become a true shutdown corner at the NFL level and is expected to immediately compete for playing time. Haden is a physical, intelligent force at the cornerback position and looks to adapt well to the pro game. The Browns currently project Eric Wright and off-season acquisition Sheldon Brown as the starters at cornerback, but a strong training camp and pre-season could elevate Haden into a starting role.
