Connor Shaw Claimed by Bears After Being Waived by Browns

It didn't take long for quarterback Connor Shaw to find a home.
Field Yates of ESPN reported the Chicago Bears claimed Shaw on Friday after the New Orleans Saints put in a claim on the quarterback. Peter Schrager of Fox Sports reported that the Saints leaked they were putting in a claim on Shaw, and when the Bears became aware of it, they used their higher waiver priority to snag him.
Adam Caplan of ESPN reported that the Saints sent an email to every team as opposed to just the NFL personnel office. Nick Underhill of The Advocate reported the Seattle Seahawks also put a claim in on Shaw.
On Thursday afternoon, Shaw announced that he had been waived by the Cleveland Browns:
The 24-year-old appeared in just one game for the Browns back in 2014, where he completed 14 passes for 177 yards.
While Shaw's release doesn't reveal who the Browns will have as their starting quarterback next season, it does whittle down new head coach Hue Jackson's options.
