Darren McFadden Injury: Updates on Cowboys RB’s Recovery from Elbow Surgery

Dallas Cowboys running back Darren McFadden suffered an elbow injury over Memorial Day weekend and is reportedly expected to miss around two months after undergoing surgery.

McFadden Suffered Broken Elbow in Home Accident Tuesday, June 14 Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News passed along the two-month timetable for a broken elbow from Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett. Clarence Hill of the Star-Telegram confirmed the running back underwent surgery Tuesday to repair the damage.
David Helman of the team's official website noted the Cowboys are "optimistic" the veteran will be ready for camp after initially practicing with the injury last week. Jason Cole of Bleacher Report added that the "most optimistic diagnosis" for McFadden is that he'll be back two weeks prior to the start of the season. Cole added that the running back will "most likely" be back by the start of the campaign.
