DeAngelo Williams Injury Update: Carolina Panthers RB Officially Inactive

An announcement that's somewhat of a formality given that his status was listed as doubtful on the team's injury report, but Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams is officially inactive for Week 8.

Jonathan Stewart will handle the rushing duties for the Panthers as they look to get their second straight win, this time on the road against the St. Louis Rams.

Stewart and Williams had both failed to live up to preseason expectations, as no Panthers rusher has broken the 100 yard mark yet this year. Against St. Louis with Stewart guaranteed a lion's share of carries, this could be the week for Carolina's running game to find some consistency.
