Dee Ford Injury: Updates on Chiefs LB’s Ribs and Return

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Dee Ford sustained a rib injury in Friday night's 14-13 preseason win over the Seattle Seahawks.

Ford May Have Fractured Rib Saturday, August 22 According to Chiefs.com's BJ Kissel, head coach Andy Reid wasn't definitive regarding the severity of the injury, but a fractured rib is the worst-case scenario at this point. 
Ford suffered the injury in the first half of Friday's contest when Seahawks running back Christine Michael laid a vicious chip block on him as the linebacker attempted to gain a head of steam and knife into the backfield.  
While there isn't a firm diagnosis or recovery timetable just yet, Ford appears destined to miss time in some capacity.
