DeMarcus Ware On Pace To Break NFL Sack Record

After five years, who knew taking DeMarcus Ware over Shawne Merriman in the NFL Draft would end up being a good thing. Actually, make that a great thing.
Ware is one, if not the best, defensive players in the NFL. Standing 6'4" and 262 pounds, Ware might be the fastest linebacker in the league and also can hit hard. He also has incredible toughness. Last year against the Chargers, he got really badly injured. He was expected to be out the rest of the year. The next week he came back against the Saints and recorded two sacks and two forced fumbles, including one that helped seal the win.
In Ware's first season in the NFL, he recorded eight sacks, but not more than Merriman. It looked like Jerry Jones made another of his many mistakes.
Merriman might have been considered the best linebacker in the league a couple years ago. But then he was suspended for the use of steroids and that brought him down.
