Detroit Lions NFL Draft Coundown: 37 Days

Not a whole lot has changed since I put out my first NFL draft countdown 63 days ago and I still favor a priority on defense . Gerald McCoy and Ndomukong Suh still appear to be front runners for the Lions' selection at No. 2 overall. The addition of Russell Okung into the mix and banter about trading down are the only additional possibilities that warrant consideration right now.

The Detroit Lions are in the process of visiting with New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Anthony Hargrove. Some media outlets are wondering if interest in Hargrove shows disinterest in Suh, or even McCoy. I'm not so sure that is the case.

The easiest way for me to summarize Martin Mayhew's tenure as general manager is this: Consider Everything, Rule Out Nothing. Checking into Hargrove perfectly fits this mantra, considering Hargrove in free agency does not have to rule out drafting a defensive tackle.
