Dion Lewis Injury: Updates on Patriots RB’s Recovery from Knee Surgery

New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis will not be on the field at the start of camp as he bounces back from knee surgery, as the team placed him on the physically unable to perform list. It is uncertain when he will be ready to return to action.

Lewis Opening Camp on PUP List Monday, July 25 Mike Reiss of ESPN reported the Patriots' roster move as the franchise placed multiple players on the PUP list.
Lewis Was Explosive Before Knee Injury Lewis' 2015 season was cut short when he suffered a torn ACL in November, and Reiss noted the Patriots will open camp without the running back. 
Lewis was on pace to have a strong first season with New England. Through seven games, he rushed for 234 yards and two touchdowns and caught 36 passes for 388 yards and another two scores.
