Does Santonio Holmes Trade Make the New York Jets Super Bowl Contenders?

As we all know, the New York jets, led by a rookie head coach and quarterback, truly had a Cinderella season that unfortunately struck 12 one game early in a 30-17 loss in the AFC Championship Game to the Indianapolis Colts.
Going into the offseason, the team didn’t have many major needs. However, so far, they have been very active as they have already made three significant acquisitions.
Just last night, the team traded for former Pittsburgh Steelers WR, Santonio Holmes.  
Yes, your eyes don’t deceive you; Santonio Holmes, just a year after being named the Super Bowl XLIII MVP has been traded for a fifth round draft pick.
For the Jets, this is a great low risk-high reward move.
Since defenses will be tightening up inside the box in order to stop their potent rushing attack, the team has been looking for a speedy playmaker to add to Sanchez’s arsenal, and Holmes fits that bill perfectly.
