Giants To Take A Look At Whitner Friday, Sept. 30 According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on Friday, the New York Giants will be working out Whitner on Sunday as they look to add some depth to their secondary.  
The Giants pass defense has been decimated by injuries early on this season as four members of the secondary have been listed on the team's injury list for Week 4, viaNFL.com:
If Nat Berhe and Darian Thompson are unable to go on Monday night against the Minnesota Vikings, the Giants would only have second-year man Landon Collins and rookie Andrew Adams to patrol the position. 
Whitner could provide a solid veteran presence to put at safety alongside the Giants' young pups.
