Eagles at Lions: Philly Favored To Win In Detroit

The Philadelphia Eagles and the Detroit Lions will both be looking for their first wins when they meet at Ford Field in a Week 2 NFC non-division showdown. And they will both likely be looking for their backup quarterbacks to lead them to those wins.
While Philadelphia has refused to rule out quarterback Matthew Stafford for this week’s home opener, it is very unlikely that he will be able to go after reportedly suffering a second-degree shoulder separation on a hit by Julius Peppers.
Eagles starting quarterback Kevin Kolb was knocked out last week’s contest with the Green Bay Packers. He suffered a concussion that is expected to keep him out of Sunday’s game.
As far as backups go, the Eagles appear to have the edge with Michael Vick, and that’s a big reason why NFL odds makers have listed the Eagles as a 4-point favorite with the total set at 41.
