Buffalo Bills general manager Doug Whaley doesn't appear to be in any rush to make a decision on retaining backup quarterback EJ Manuel, according to Mike Rodak of ESPN.com.

Manuel’s Future in Buffalo Remains Unclear Monday, March 21 The deadline for the team to pick up Manuel's fifth-year option is not until early May, per Rodak. He's due to count $2.8 million against the team's salary cap, per Spotrac.
Manuel’s career in Buffalo seemed to take a turn toward inevitably ending when he lost his starting job to Tyrod Taylor in training camp last year. 
He started two games in October when Taylor was out with an injury, but three weeks later, he was listed as a healthy inactive during a Week 10 game against the New York Jets.
